About

Corporal Kevin Lee Aigner passed away while assisting residents in an area devastated by a wildfire. He was working his post on Wharton Cove when he began to have trouble breathing. STAR Flight life-flighted him to Seton Medical Center, where he died from a stroke. He was just 38 years old. Corporal Aigner had served with the Travis County Precinct 2 Constable's Office for 12 years and had served in law enforcement for a total of 15 years.
Kevin loved being with his family and friends. He worked off-duty for the MUD patrolling our parks on weekends and during special events. An outstanding officer, he was an even greater human being. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and taking his jeep on trail rides. He worked for the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tatum Aigner, his parents, Ervin and Margaret Aigner, and his sisters, Kendra Aigner, and Lisa Mendoza. Kevin was very passionate about jeeps and loved working with the youth explorer program.
Kevin was a kind, caring man who showed concern for everyone he met. The Kevin Lee Aigner Foundation seeks to spread love and kindness by supporting various nonprofits. Kevin's life of service to others is reflected through our mission.

Kevin's Legacy
Dedication Ceremony For Corporal Kevin Lee Aigner Building
The Pct. 2 office building was dedicated in memory of Cpl. Kevin Lee Aigner on Saturday, July 27, 2019. We are thankful to everyone who had a role in this endeavor and we are so happy for Kevin's family.

In September of 2021, Kevin was honored by the Steiner Ranch community. We remember the historic Steiner Ranch fire that occured on September 4, 2011. Eleven years later, we have not forgotten the ultimate sacrifice of the Travis County Pct. 2 Corporal Kevin Lee Aigner, the homes and businesses lost, the lives affected, and the men and women who fought day and night to contain and exstinguish the fire.
Corporal Aigner died in the line of duty while assisting Steiner Ranch residents. On the 10-year anniversary, a bench was enveiled at John Simpson Community Park to honor Corporal Aigner.
